So late then post this up, almost forgot about it. It happened at tHe Spring on 1st January 2009. tHe Spring was packed and it’s not easy to find parking that day. There’s also tHe Spring Idol Contest but we didn’t catch it. Both were the final round.

Four Points by Sheraton Kuching Hotel had its soft opening during the weekend. It’s a 4-start hotel offering 5-star services at affordable rate. It will open on 17th January 2009. This is the first Four Points by Sheraton hotel in South East Asia.
It’s located at Jalan Lapangan Terbang Baru, very near to RH Plaza. You will easily spot it. Near to the airport also.
There are 421 guest rooms. each with a bed, large workspace with ergonomic desk and chair, a 32-inch TV and a laptop sized safe. There is also direct link for information on flight services.
Premier category of rooms provides Wi-Fi access services and the use of iPod entertainment docks.
Even the handicapped people are not missed out. There are few rooms and facilities specially made to support them when they stay there.
Other facilities include 24-hour fitness centre, an outdoor swimming pool, a spa with 8 treatment rooms and steam room and sauna. Also a 24-hour business centre.

I’m sure many of you haven’t seen the new Sarawak Club yet. I know many even also have no chance to step into the old one that was burnt down in 2006 and was reopened on 2007.
We were lucky to get invitation for a dinner there and manage to take some photos of the lobby to share with you. Enjoy the photos.

Chinese New Year is less than a month now. Time sure flies.

CNY will be in about one month time. As usual there will be CNY Bazaar around Kuching. For Padungan, it will be on 17th-23rd January 2009 near the infamous big white cat statue.
If you are interested, for half a parking space, you will have to pay RM70 in front of the five-foot way; RM150 per stall for one parking space near the cat statue; RM200 for one full lorry parking near the cat statue.
Each stall will have one power outlet to use but if you have spotlights or other appliances, you will have to pay RM2/day.
You can only sell ready-to-eat food such as cookies. You cannot cook or prepare drinks there.
You can get the form starting 22nd December from Lim Phek Siong at No. 120 Jalan Padungan or call 082-245902 and submit it back to the same place before 31st December 2008.
The respond wasn’t that good this year, I’m not sure about next year. It seems like many people are not doing much preparations nowadays. It’s “colder” and “colder” each year.
